Celtic cross is a symbol that combines a cross with a ring surrounding the intersection. Is a free-standing cross made of stone and often richly decorated. Legend has it that the Celtic Cross was introduced by Saint Patrick during his time of converting the pagan Irish was shown a sacred standing stone that was marked with a circle that was symbolic of the moon goddess, he made the mark of a Latin cross through the circle and blessed the stone making the first Celtic Cross, implies that Saint Patrick was willing to take the ideas and practices that were formerly Druid into Christian ideas and practices.

The shamrock is a type of clover with three leaves, is the unofficial symbol of Ireland and comes from the Irish word seamrog that means summer plant. The Druids considered the shamrock to be a sacred sign and came to represent life itself. According to legend St. Patrick used it as a metaphor for the Christian Trinity.

Triquetra is a noun resulting from the Latin tri- ('three') and quetrus ('cornered'). Its creative meaning was merely 'triangle' and it has been used to refer to a variety of three cornered shapes. The triquetra has been found on rune stones in Northern Europe and on early Germanic coins. It presumably had pagan meaning and it bears a resemblance to the Valknut, a symbol associated with Odin.

The triquetra deals with the power of three, which is often seen as a divine number. This symbol that is formed from the intersection of three circles sometimes is shown with a fourth circle woven through it. When this is the case that fourth circle adds more weight to the significance.  It can connect the mind, body and soul and represents the way the three individuals are part of one whole and has many meanings such as life-death-rebirth, spirit-mind-body, mother-father-child, past-present-future, power-intellect-love and creation-preservation-destruction, the circle can show spiritual unity with the divine.
